JESSE GEARY

Portfolio Manager

At age 16, Jesse bought his first stock: Famous Dave’s. His rationale: he loved the food and his dad’s name is Dave. Since then, his approach to the markets has evolved and matured into the active investing used in client portfolios today.

Jesse majored in Geology in college, taking economics classes on the side. Geology is one of those disciplines that starts extremely granular (look at those minerals in that rock!) and always migrates to a broader story (so that’s how and why this mountain formed!) – a mental exercise that he loved.

Jesse’s mind gravitates toward big-picture analysis, seeing trends, and thinking theoretically. The cross-over between the science of geology and the macroeconomics of managing investment portfolios is, actually, incredibly seamless. When Jesse decided to make investments his full-time job, he felt as if he’d found the one thing he wants to do for the rest of his life (other than play soccer and ride motorbikes with his kids, of course).

It’s this passion for investments that helped create the idea for Geddi Capital and why Jesse tirelessly serves each of his clients every day.

MARIA PRINCEN

Operations

Maria’s had a non-traditional path to the financial services. She’s worked as an elementary school teacher, an advocate for the formerly incarcerated, a geologist, and in corporate finance for Oil & Gas. Geddi Capital is her brainchild and it synthesizes all of her experiences and values: creating equality in a vastly unbalanced world through the most base currencies of all – money and time.

Maria double-majored in Geology and Political Science in college. Her main educational goal was: to live. This meant experiencing and witnessing life as much as she could: from spending a semester in Tanzania to being a walk-on to the women’s soccer team. The exploration expanded after school: teaching English in South Korea, working with low-income families in Northern Minnesota, temping at Bloomberg, and eventually getting an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Each of the pillars of Geddi Capital were created by Maria: family, hard work, giving opportunity to those who never thought they’d get it. These are the values Maria instills in her children and, to her, define this wonderful country. Through vision and sheer grit, Maria is building Geddi Capital to become something greater than herself, something that lasts generations, and gives hope to those who have worked very, very hard.

family before all else

We do in fact manage our own parents retirement portfolios. They spent a lifetime working as teachers, non-profit workers, and secretaries, and saved modest sums. They sent us to college and helped secure a future for their children. By the time they were 70, they were tired and ready to spend as much time with their grandkids as possible. So we made it possible for them.

When you become a client, you become part of the Geddi Capital family.

Financial Freedom

We had student loans. We had minimum wage jobs.
We finished college during a recession.
We didn’t have well-off parents.

All of these experiences led us to our careers in corporate finance and trading and building our own business. We believe in making wealth possible for all.

We work for you

We put our finance and investing experience to use for people like our parents who worked their whole lives in the middle-class to give a future to their children. We steward their savings so they can live with peace-of-mind.

To be true to our word and our principles, we make our services actually accessible. Financial planning at no additional cost. No hidden fees for managing portfolios. This is what it takes to make active investing affordable.
